Article Content:
Stomach cramps are so painful, especially when associated with period pain. It
is something that a lot of women experience while going through their period
and it can come in different stages for women.
At the beginning of the cycle,
the stomach ache might occur slightly and never occur for the rest of the
cycle. For other women, the stomach cramps are so bad that most women look for
some relief from stomachache. For any reason you might want to check with the
doctor in case the pain gets so bad it is inhibiting you from being able to do
normal things, like standing up and walking around.
Most women experience some sort of stomachache during their periods. A good way
to relive a lot of this pain is to take a nap if possible. In some cases you
can put a warming pad, covered in a towel, on the area. Most women who
experience stomach cramps will take a pain reliever, like Tylenol or Midol. Be
sure to check with your doctor before taking medication if you fear you might
have a reaction or if you experience worse symptoms or side effects. A stomach
ache can sometimes be relieved by the way you sit, by relieving pressure on the
stomach and the lower back.
So when you need relief from stomachache, you can turn to over the counter
medications as needed.
You can also try different sitting positions. Women can
be affected at any time during the cycle, but if you experience anything
unusual, like continuing stomach cramps and extreme pain, contact your doctor.
Also, if you experience a stomach ache like that without any known cause, call
your doctor then too. It is better to be safe and prepared. Whatever you try,
be sure to ask your doctor for tips on how to relieve the pain.
